The Babywatcher case contains everything you need to make fun ultrasounds yourself. A complete all-in-1 package, containing the Babywatcher, a Laptop, a bottle of scan gel, the return label, and an instruction flyer.

No, because then you would want nothing more than to look at your little one all day long. ;) You have 3 ultrasounds a day of 10 minutes. In addition, you will receive 3 practice ultrasounds from us on your first rental day.

Yes, you can. It was even specially designed for that. Although you do not have the skills of a midwife, the Babywatcher is very simple. You can recognize the spine, hands, feet, head, and heart, after perhaps a little searching. That's great fun!

How exactly does the Babywatcher work?

The Babywatcher is very easy to use. View our step-by-step plan here. Do you have any further questions? Contact our customer service.

The Babywatcher is very easy to use.

1) Connect to the internet and log in to our software.

2) Connect the cables. Make sure the Babywatcher is connected to the laptop and don’t forget to plug it in. A green light will light up.

3) Apply scangel to your belly and the fun can begin.

Watch our installation or instruction video to see how to make the Babywatcher ready for use and how to make a scan yourself.

The Babywatcher is meant for 2D black and white scans. What you see exactly depends on your BMI and how far pregnant you are. For example, less than 20 weeks pregnant? Then you’ll be able to see your baby in its entirety. The further pregnant you are, the more difficult it becomes. You are now specifically looking for an arm, leg, spine, beating heart, and so on. Watch this pregnancy scan video to see what you can expect.

You can find the sex of the baby if you go looking for it and know what to look for. Would you rather not know? No worries, you won’t just stumble upon it. The level of detail in the picture isn’t as high as a medical device. It is a fun game to play during a gender reveal party though.

You're definitely not the only one thinking about this. But we can reassure you. Babywatcher users indicate that they feel comfortable with the Babywatcher. They even experience less stress during their pregnancy. After all, seeing the baby move is reassuring. Keep in mind that the Babywatcher is a fun ultrasound, so for fun, and not a substitute for a medical specialist.

In the Babywatcher software, you’ll find tips for making your own pregnancy scans. For example, make sure you lie down in a relaxed position, use sufficient scangel and place the probe at the right height. You can also watch our instruction video " Up to 20 Weeks" and "More than 20 weeks" before you start your scan, so you know exactly how to get the best images.

Have you already seen our instruction video with tips?

If you have a higher BMI or an unfavourable placenta, it can be more difficult to get a clear image. It is also possible that your baby isn’t in the mood to be watched. Try coughing gently or try again later.

Still no success? Make sure to contact us during your rental period so we can have a look with you.

In this video, you´ll get an idea of what you’re going to see. Please note that the resolution of a Babywatcher scan is lower than at the midwife.

Nice picture? Save it quickly! Pause the echo and choose the option 'save' at the bottom of the bar. As soon as you save the image, a photo is automatically taken and a video of the 30 seconds before.

1. Go to the My Echoes folder

Make sure you rent the Babywatcher at least one day before the planned party. Then you can make some practice ultrasounds beforehand. And if the courier has a flat tyre, you can be sure that you will receive the Babywatcher in time.

MEDICAL AND SAFETY

The Babywatcher uses sound waves and not radiation.

There is a difference in resolution between a hospital ultrasound and the Babywatcher. Also, the Babywatcher has no measuring functions, as it is not for medical purposes.

Ultrasounds at the midwife's usually have a medical purpose, such as checking the health of you and the baby. The Babywatcher is a pre-echo and was developed to give you more moments with your baby and to share the happiness. The Babywatcher has no measuring functions and cannot be used for medical purposes. It is designed to complement a pregnancy, not to replace a medical specialist. So keep visiting your medical specialist.

The Babywatcher is a device to be used at home. Therefore, you cannot expect the image quality of the hospital. But we do get very happy and grateful messages about the images it produces. Several factors play a role in this. That is why we give three chances a day to make images.

Up to about the twentieth week of your pregnancy, it is easy to get a complete picture of your baby. If you are further along, the picture will be different - more zoomed in on the body parts.

It is possible that the baby is not lying in the right position. You can then stand up or cough carefully. If you still do not get a good picture of the baby, we advise you to try later. It is then more likely that the baby is lying better. It is also possible that the height of your BMI (Body Mass Index) influences the image quality.

It is possible to scan from the side of your belly. This allows you to look past the placenta. A placenta that lies at the front (on your belly side) does not affect the image quality

The Babywatcher contributes to the experience, perception and pleasure of pregnancy. For medical questions, we ask you to contact your medical specialist. If you are worried, it is important to discuss this with your midwife, gynaecologist or general practitioner. The Babywatcher is purely for the experience, not to doctor yourself.

Babywatcher applies 'Privacy Matters'. This means that Babywatcher never stores and saves your personal data or shares it with third parties. 2D images and videos made by you are only saved on your own laptop and are not accessible to Babywatcher. If you use our laptop, then you can easily delete it completely before you send it back. If you forgot to do that, we will do it for you!

The image quality of the Babywatcher is a compromise between safety and clear images. We have chosen to guarantee safety and keep it simple to use. That's why the images are not as sharp as those of your medical ultrasounds, but you can still make your own ultrasounds at home.

Whether you get good images depends on a number of factors. For instance the amount of amniotic fluid, the position of your baby at that moment, the placenta, but also for instance how much scangel you used and how you handle the probe. In addition, of course, you must be able to recognise what you are actually seeing. Often, with a little help, we can get customers up to speed very quickly, so that they still get good images. Only in a few cases does Mother Nature not cooperate and it is really impossible to make good images.

To distinguish between these cases, we define good images as follows:

On good images made with the Babywatcher, you can at least discover arms, legs, hands, feet, the head or nose. If necessary, you can get help or an explanation from Babywatcher's customer service.

Is it also not possible to discover your little one with our help? Then you get your money back if you have met the warranty conditions.

Have you read the Tips & Tricks in the software and followed the instruction video, but are you still unable to get good images? Please contact us during your rental period. You can do this via WhatsApp or e-mail. In the weekend, it is best to contact us by e-mail.

We will do everything we can to help you with your ultrasound images. Whether you are entitled to a refund depends on whether or not you meet the conditions of the No Worries Guarantee.

Every woman and baby is unique. So sometimes you need a little extra patience or help to get good images. After all, you don't make an ultrasound every day, do you? That is why we offer the No Worries Guarantee when the following conditions are met:

> You have contacted us during your rental period about the images.
> You have used the Babywatcher between week 10 and 34 of the pregnancy.
> You have not yet returned the Babywatcher.
> You have sent your Babywatcher videos to customer service.
> You have used the Babywatcher on at least 3 different parts of the day and followed the instructions.
> Customer service cannot interpret your images any further.

Do you comply with all the above conditions?
Then we will refund the agreed price as soon as we have received the Babywatcher back.

We want to help you in the best possible way. This is only possible if we know in time that you need help.
That's why we can only offer the No Worries Guarantee if you contact us during your rental period.
